Jp Collections’ Jealousy Boat

This beauty is called Jealousy and it’s an amazing boat.  When you rezz it, you right click on “Ride” and find yourself behind the captain’s wheel with multiple options for moving around the boat in animated poses that simulate having a darn good time out at sea.  It would honestly be a great boat to hang out with friends, chatting and dance out on the water.

Jp Collections has been around for a long while, since 2008, and has grown to a robust collection of 80 boats!  If you can’t find what you’re looking for there, where can you?  If you have any trouble with their products, they claim to have a very good customer service team in place to help.  I can’t vouch since I haven’t had to ask for assistance yet, but I think I believe them!

And this little beauty above is called the Y-Knot, in it’s 6th version.  And it’s such a fun boat that makes your journey on the sea picturesque and memorable.

Another fantastic boat vendor you’ll find out at the Sand & Sea Expo this year is Juli Designs!  Below are pictures of the breezy Fair Wind and the classic looking Elise.  With these boats, you rezz the balls and sit, then wear the boat as an attachment once seated.  It took me a moment to figure out what  I was doing because I hate reading instructions as I’ve mentioned before.  I don’t read instructions and then I fumble about wasting time…before I finally give up and read the instructions.

You have to remember to say “raise” in local chat in order to see the gorgeous sails rise up on Fair Winds.  Mentioning that because it took me forever to figure that out because of my aforementioned silly aversion to reading instructions.  Instructions are your friend and mine.

Even though I’m an official blogger for the event, I have been playing Beachcomber game also and wondering what gifts I’ve left there when I wasn’t so lucky.  So I’m going back to see if I can pick up more fabulous free items!  The boats I’ve shown here may not be the free items being given by Jp Collections and Juli Designs (can’t remember, so sorry), but if not I’m willing to bet the free gift is something just as fantastic.  I’ll race you the beachcomber shell!

Even if you don’t make it to the Expo today, there are some wonderful stores that you can still go and visit any time you like!

There are two ways to arrive at the Sand & Sea Expo 2013 Beachcomber Event, on the Beach or Underwater.  And when you get there, you’ll be looking for purple (or pink – they look purple to me!) sea shells at each vendor’s location.  They look like this:

The tricky thing with the shells is that they don’t always give you the gift!  You may get lucky or you may not.  But you can come back to the event and try again once every two hours to pick up gifts you didn’t get previously.  It’s a great excuse to come back and see more of the Expo.  The atmosphere is wonderful so you won’t mind!

In my next post, I’ll share some of the gifts I’ve picked up out at the expo so that you can see why you should go!  Remember, there’s not much more time left!

During the expo there will be a Beachcomber Hunt that sure looks fun!  You’ll be searching for pink sea shells all over the expo, every vendor will have set one out.  When you click on them, you’ll either be lucky and receive a prize or you’ll be unlucky and you won’t.  But after two hours have passed you’ll be able to try again to get the prize and you may even find some nice treasure if you dig deeper!

I also want to tell you a little about Oceania Breedables.  They’ve been working hard for a year on bringing us a game featuring mesh, breedable, shape-changing sea creatures!  And though they are still in development, you can stop by their main sim and pick up this adorable purple whale as a gift, and also find out about other hunts they have going on in which you can pick up more adorable sea creature plushies!  http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wilderness/180/216/24

I don’t know if he (or she) has a given name by Oceania, but if so mine has been changed….to Beam.  You can also take a look at one of Bamboo Nails’ brand new Spring Releases called Berry Blue above.

My look for the day while visiting Hana Aloha is a refreshing summer dress by Loordes of London that I picked up at Pre-Release SL.  It’s called Pembroke and I’m wearing the Aqua Dip version.  You can just make out my Slink mesh feet peeking out beneath the floor length mesh skirt.  I tried wearing my Slink mesh hands but oh my I need some major practice to get them to work.  I hate reading instructions and that often causes me unnecessary trouble.  But I’ll get it.  It was the same with my mesh breasts at first. I was terribly lost and wondering how all the ladies were managing to have these fabulous-looking breasts from the same thing I had purchased.

I went wandering about the Pose Fair and stopped in the EverGlow and elymode booths.  Like most models and bloggers, I don’t think I ever tire of buying new poses.  These two above are EverGlow.

The hair I’m wearing was recently released at Truth and I’m sporting gorgeous sling back heels from MStyle called KAI.

The earrings I chose because they are very large and I was needing something that could present well despite my ear area being covered with hair.  The FZaPP Luxil earrings fit the bill.  The two poses above are EverGlow and the two poses below can be found in the Elymode booth at Pose Fair.

At Skin Fair 2013, on the second sim, I picked up this fantastic skin by Dream Ink called Amaris.  That’s the thing I love about the fairs is that I usually find creators that I knew nothing about.  I’m a new fan of Dream Ink.  Always a bit behind the 8-ball I am!

Bax has out some brand new stockings that are to die for, but for this dress I decided to stick with their simpler soft and shiny sheer black pantyhose.  And it is their new Foxy black leather boots that I’m sporting!

Kaydee is a mesh dress with an optional flowing prim sleeve that you can attach to the shoulder that’s not bare extending the look down the arm further.  I find Kaydee to be refreshingly different with its bold texture.  And I’m enjoying the look of Gwen’s new jewelry that complements this very busy dress with ease.

Have you tried Gos Boutique Barefeet?  I’m inlove with them because you can go to a website and save skin tones for your feet with a wizard that will fill in for the most popular skins.  What a godsend!  Love, love, love.

GCD Cadenza is a combination of classic, playful, elegance and variety to fit most any mood.  Above I’m wearing one of the long versions of the skirt that follows the curve of the body with a full dress bodice and a uniquely delightful hat.  I chose to wear the long cuffed gloves and I’m wearing a skin that I found at Fashion For Life on the Artemis at Ephesus sim, Essencial’s Belladonna Tan.  On the same epic sim, I found the beautiful diamond and ruby necklace on my neck from Virtual Impressions called Trisha.

Above is a closer look at the Virtual Impressions Trisha necklace, and the Belladonna skin that can be found at FFL.  Here I have on extra eye make up so the skin itself is  softer than I’m currently displaying.  I really like the lips on the Belladonna skin.  This one, with white shadow encircling the eyes is the Winter version of Belladonna.

Cadenza comes with a bra top and a min flirt version of the skirt.  You can wear the bra top opaque like above or sheer like below.  There is also a sheer version of the Cadenza panties and Gwen includes tattoo layers if you need them.  Above I’m wearing Bamboo Nails, Red Fishnet.

Gwen has also included Lolas Tango appliers with Cadenza for those who love to sport a fuller look up top!  I like wearing Lolas Tango but I’m still having trouble getting them to fit seamlessly into my looks.  I’ll have to spend some more time playing with my breasts looks like.

The first photos I took in Cadenza I took in the company of the man I love.  Above I’m wearing another version of the full skirt as I dance in one of Alexandar Vargas’ beautiful ballrooms.  Jordan has again graciously agreed to share with me what he’s wearing in a look that’s sure to catch the eyes of most ladies.

The Fashion for Life sims are incredible.  You’ll just have to go see!  And please spend some money.  Cancer steals our loved ones.  We need to find a cure.  I’ll be going back and will share more of my finds.

Faded is a smart outfit that is very affordable and comes with all of the colors for one low price.  I love it when designers do that because sometimes it’s very hard to choose which color you feel like wearing just looking at the vendors.  Am I in a pink mood, or an aqua mood?  The two colors are very different from one another, but equally nice.

So back to what I started this post with.  When I heard about One Billion Rising in SL, it was late and only some days right before the event.  I’d been introduced to Joonie Jatho by my bestfriend Summer Deadlight and she was working tirelessly on the event, one of the many beautiful souls who were involved with setting this touching real life event up inside of SL too and making it happen.  Joonie and I instantly clicked and I near begged to be given a banner that I could put up on my feeds to help advertise the quickly approaching February 14th date.  I’ve read that there is some controversy surrounding whether or not One Billion Rising in SL actually helped anything for abused women.  Some say that raising awareness by doing a dance party does nothing to help the issue.  But I’m not so sure about that.  It’s about feeling good to be female, being proud of who we are, even those things that traditionally add to making us victims and making us feel as if the violence against us was some fault of our own.  Because if you can change the mindset of females who feel like they are not empowered, and start to empower them, the cycle of violence could start to change.  We don’t have to apologize for being pretty, sexy, feminine, or gentler.  It doesn’t make us less important to what keeps the world going round.  This accepted misogyny that seems to exist in so many facets of our lives is disheartening and it can only change one person at a time.  I do feel awareness campaigns are helpful.

Faded comes with cool sunglasses hanging from a long tank top.  There’s an option to wear a version of the tank that has a shadow for the shades or one that’s plain white if you want to wear the shades on your face instead.  Such a nice touch to add!  The bag I’m holding in the photo above is from Amarelo Manga, the Crocodile Bag in white.  I’m feeling especially pretty here with makeup accents from cheLLe to accentuate the beautiful CandyDoll Lorena skin that I picked up back during Libra Zodiac.  I am pimping my pump with Gos point platforms and loving it!

I’m not as distracted as I seem.  Back to what I started out saying.  I wasn’t able to be inworld on February 14th so I missed the wonderful, wonderful event that took place but I’m still so moved by it and I feel empowered even though I wasn’t there.  We are mothers, sisters, daughters, grandmothers, cousins, and nieces, and we should never be subjected to violence, emotional or physical.  So how can I “own” a girl in SL and say this with a straight face, you might be asking?  I can honestly say that I have never held any one more dear, or in more esteem, than I hold my wife in Second Life.  Though our relationship is classified as a D/s relationship, there is nothing at all abusive about it.  There is no force and in fact the opposite.  It is a loving relationship in which we fulfill for one another deep-seated needs that we both have for reasons that go far, far deeper than kinky sex.  Not that we don’t seriously enjoy kinky sex, because we do, but I must say that I feel my flame is the most beautiful, intelligent, wondrous creature on the face of the planet.  I would never dream of hurting her, in any way….ever.  What she gets from me is what she craves getting from me.  It isn’t a game that we play, our feelings are real.  We are real.  We just happen to meet inside of a virtual world to keep in contact since we live in different cities.  I freely say that though I stand over her in pictures and she chooses to kneel at my feet, there’s no doubt who the stronger one is of the two of us.  Hands down, she wins.

While I was taking these pictures, I kept stopping to dance to Alicia Keys’ Girl on Fire increasing that empowered feeling I was having.  Smart in Indyra Original’s Faded, on fire, and rising higher still.  Break the chain, one person at a time.

LpD’s recent release *Sara* Dress is so beautiful.  I’m wearing Sand here and it comes in two other soft shades that will make you feel so feminine and casually elegant.  The mesh dress comes in 5 different sizes to suit your taste and you can wear it with or without the veils on the skirt.  I personally can’t imagine wearing the skirt without the beautiful veils, but they are optional.  The glorious ponytail on my head, that was blowing in the wind along with my veils, is a recent EMO-tions release called SIIRI and it is intricate ponytail perfection.

Around my neck and hanging from my ears is the very stunning Pavla jewelry set from Zibska.  This set is color-changing and I am just in awe of the sets beauty.  The mingling colors of the feathers is refreshing and such a perfect focal piece for a dress like this one.  My skin is a recent release from Al Vulo! called Jade.  I, of course, love it because Al Vulo! skins and I get along fabulously well.  I’ve covered Jade’s normal sexy lips with lipstick from R.icielli NIGHT MAKEUPS and I want to point out the very pretty nails I’m wearing from Bamboo Nails’ Satin Gold set.

I’m slightly rebellious when it comes to wearing the shoulder portions of many gowns but that builds suspense for you when you go to Sascha’s seeking a very pretty Winter gown with fun options to play around with!  There is  a flamboyant shoulder wrap and also a very cute throat bow that can be worn with Starstruck in place of a necklace.  But I chose to wear EarthStone’s Laraine jewels with this beautiful wintery white gown.  The neck pieces wouldn’t have gotten along with my wispy, shoulder-hanging Truth ponytail but shorter hair dos would work beautifully!

I know the lighting is strange on these photos but I was enchanted with the way it muted the landscape when I tried it out so I kept snapping pictures.  I’m particularly fond of the wind mill in the background of the photo above.  I was standing across the way from the roleplaying area of the medieval fantasy sim, Avilion.  The poses are from Flowey.

Then I decided to add the boob crunchies accessory that comes with Starstruck and put on the lovely, heavy skirt with a long train for caressing the snow behind me.  I was a little warmer then.  Notice the star that is sprinkled with swirling dust across the bodice?  Thus the reason for the name of the gown.  There’s more of those pretty stars on the train.

Lower body muscles are used to wear this gown, but it’s most fitting for one of those very special occasions where you must stand out in the crowd and need to make a big impression or entrance like a blushing bride.  All I really need is a bit of lace on top of my head and I could pass for a bride in Starstruck’s train version of the skirt.

Many thought the world wouldn’t make it to see 2013.  I never quite understood why that was, but it’s been a compelling myth or legend or prophecy, whatever you might call it.  I must say that I’m glad to see 2013 fast approaching and that December 21st, 2012 is behind us.  Wishing all of the Second Life community a very happy new year.  Here’s to new beginnings, fresh starts, and new resolutions to keep or to break!

You can wear Mystique with or without a corset.  The gown itself is black with lace embroidery and then you can cinch your waist with a gorgeous ruffled corset.  I’ll admit that it will be hard to see the wonderful detail on Gwen’s textures because of my wanting dark pictures and not being the greatest of photographers, but hopefully you can see them well enough to know that the gown is simply stunning.

The skirt is whispering soft and it moves around the legs with a combination of lace, netting, and sheer fabrics that give glimpses of leg and things that sparkle subtly in its depths.  Don’t we love it when the eyes of others are drawn to search our skirts?  Alright, maybe that’s just me!  Below is a look at the Mystique bustier with delicate lace panty.

I have determined that I get attached to certain items and then never want to take them off…literally.  One of those things is my lower tummy tattoo that I’ve been wearing for so many years from Aitui that I’ve stopped saying where to get it because I don’t think it’s on sale any longer.  I feel bare without my tattoo.  I still love it as much as I did when I first found it.  I’m also attached to my {.essences.} Upper Lip Mole and have been inseparable with my MStyle Long Rounded Nails.  But I’ve actually taken off my favorite nails to show you some new nails that I really like too from Bamboo Nails!

The Bamboo Nails hud is so easy to use, I really like it.  Simple but has all the features like hand size, paint color, and even length.  That’s what I like the most because super long nails suit my personality but the hud gives the option of having normal nails also.  I’m wearing recent December releases from the Dark Start and Darker Start set in these pictures.  I didn’t put on the nail gloves to help cover up my cuticle area but there are many shades available to help with that as well. I’m giving Bamboo Nails two dark princessy-thumbs up!

I felt that Zibska’s new 60L Vonn Deux in Coal was the perfect edgy accent for this gown.  I believe you can still pick it up until Monday (uh don’t quote me on that day – just hurry and go get) to receive the color-changing version of Vonn Deux when it’s released for free!  I finally made my way to The Arcade at the urging of my delightful best friend, Summer Deadlight, and found this very pale skin that shows off dark clothing and jewelry superbly in Glam Affair’s gacha machine called Renee for a mere 125L.  That was such a run-on sentence.  I know, I know but I’m not changing it.  The Arcade gacha event is about to close for this month’s items on the 31st, go check it out if you’ve time and haven’t been yet!

I wanted a snowy, Christmas feel to the photos so I took a trip to a Stonewood Christmas.  It’s snowing and there’s a Santa that periodically flies through the sky on a sleigh pulled by reindeer.  A very nice place to take pictures.  Don’t you think CaTwA’s Marina hair (above) is perfect for taking pictures on a breezy day?

What am I wearing you asked?  Well…I’d already shown you GCD’s Sophiste sweater in a previous post, but Gwen has since released some very nice jeans to complement the sweater perfectly along with this fabulous Tribal Vest!

GCD Everyday Jeans are mesh and come with the ability to wear them easily with boots.  I love how the light bounces off of the thighs.  Testament to Gwen’s nifty talent with creating textures.  Below is a close up look at the belt that comes already on the pants and a better look at the colorful mesh sweater vest.  A side note, when I opened my Redgrave Moscow boots the alpha was missing so I had to use one from another pair of shoes I’d bought from Redgrave.  I don’t know if it was just SL acting up or if it’s really missing from the box.  If you happen to pick these up be prepared to find another way to make your system feet disappear just in case.

Happy Holidays wherever you are in the world.  Let us hope that the coming year will see less needless loss of life at the hands of those who are too lost to realize what they’re doing.  My eyes continue to be blurred from tears shed.  It is a time for being thankful for what we have and trying never to take for granted each day we have with our loved ones.  The Newtown families and those in China who’s loved ones were injured in another vicious attack on the innocent are in my prayers.
