Thinking of Classics

Some things don’t really go out of style in real life and I think it’s amazing when a creator can manage to create such things within Second Life as well.  In this post, I’d like to share a beautiful new gown from Sascha’s Designs called Mimosa.  I’ve paired it with classic color-changing jewels from JCNY called Valencia that I’ve had for many years, but they still sparkle beautifully on my neck and dangling from my ears, matching most any gown I might put on.

I was in the mood for a mature look so I decided to don skins from another designer who does classic work, Elettra Gausman.  The Orage Creations skins are perfect for that as you can see below with a close up look at the OC Leslie skin.

While working on this post, I’ve been listening to one of the many classic Donna Summer songs.  It’s always so sad when we lose one of the extra special people in the world who have touched so many lives doing what they love to do.  But she gifted us with music that we can continue to enjoy even though she’s gone.  Even if you don’t like disco, you’ve got to hand it to Donna Summer, right?

Back to Mimosa! It comes in this lovely shade of lavender as well as pink, spring green, and yellow.  There are also a few ways that you can wear the skirt along with an optional shoulder piece that flutters to the floor behind you.  Below is a look at the empress version of the dress, very springy and easy to move with OC’s Yamil skin.

The shoes are Werlina and the CaTwA hair I’m wearing in the latter pictures has optional extra attachments to make for a fuller ponytail.  I love the way it moves.  Below is a look at the fluffer skirt version of Mimosa.
