The Loneliness of Being

That doesn’t sound like it’ll be fun, but the art installation found on Pahute Island called The Loneliness of Being isn’t meant to be uproarious, but rather contemplative and serene.  I seem to be drawn to such places in Second Life, and I wanted to share it with you while I show off Hush Skin’s newest face called Grace and the very hot GCD Tiger.  I’m rarely the first to show you, but I enjoy giving my own interpretation and hope you’ll like it!

So what is The Loneliness of Being all about?  It is an isolated island with a cloud of colorful letters floating in the air.  I thought their notecard explained it well, so I offer a direct quote: “The Loneliness of Being is a contemplative installation by artist Ian Pahute. The cloud comprises a thousand ever-changing words. Drawn live from the internet (including live news feeds and Twitter), the cloud is always evolving. It always reflects the ‘now’. Some see nothing more than foggy letters. Others see words. Some see hidden meaning and insights.”

Though I was too busy taking pictures to be as contemplative as I might have been, I do highly recommend a visit to this beautifully done work of art.  It does have a feeling of being in the now and of experiencing the movement of thought.  I’m wearing a leather jacket from *COCO* on top of GCD Tiger, which can be worn with or without the skirt.  Here is a close up below of Hush Grace SmokeyPink in the Vanilla tone with light brows.  It is enhanced by an eye make up from Fishy Strawberry.

Gorgeous isn’t it!  I’m also rather fond of this Fashionably Dead hair I’m wearing called Roxy in a vivid orange.  Below, I’m wearing GCD Tiger without the jacket and sporting a head dress from SoliDea FoliEs along with a sleek new hair from Vanity Hair called Casual Affair.

I had a hard time getting rid of the tint inside the little cubes of the hat so I had to cut some of them out because my Photoshop skills are terribly limited.  The hat is fabulous and looks even better than I was able to convey here!
